Homemade dog food is only as good as its balance
Cooking for your dog feels great, but meat and veg alone can leave gaps in essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids and fatty acids. Getting that balance wrong over time is the biggest risk with homemade feeding.
CompleteMe® Canine is the simple fix. It’s a meal completer supplement from VNG, formulated by Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionists® Dr Becca Leung and Dr Meredith Wall. Pair it with fresh ingredients using VNG’s flexible feeding guide and you can make healthy, balanced dog food at home without a complicated recipe.
Why dog owners choose CompleteMe® Canine
- You choose the ingredients. Pick the meat, vegetables, fruit and whole grains your dog does best on, raw or cooked.
- Quick and easy. One 1 kg batch takes about 15 g of CompleteMe® Canine. Portion it and freeze it for the week.
- Superfoods built in. It contains Australian grown berries, pumpkin, kale and green banana resistant starch.
- Gut support. Pre and postbiotics, including yeast fermentate and prebiotic fibre, support a healthy gut microbiome.
- Dental support. Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed has been shown in research to reduce plaque and calculus build up.
- Omega 3 from marine algae. DHAgold® marine algae provides EPA and DHA to support skin, coat, joint and overall wellbeing.
- Hypoallergenic formula. There are no added animal proteins, so it suits the protein sources you choose.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I use CompleteMe® Canine with raw meat?
- Yes. It works with raw or cooked meat such as chicken, kangaroo, turkey or pork. VNG recommends human grade meat, frozen for at least 10 days before feeding raw (3 weeks for pork in areas with Trichinella).
- Can I add it to commercial dog food?
- No. Do not add it to commercial diets or use it with other vitamin and mineral supplements, as this can cause harmful excesses of some nutrients. You can, however, feed a balanced homemade diet alongside a balanced commercial diet, such as half homemade and half kibble. Add CompleteMe® Canine to the homemade portion as per the feeding guide.
- How should I store it?
- Keep it in the fridge to protect freshness, and use a clean, dry spoon so no moisture gets into the bag.
- What is the shelf life?
- The best by date is up to 11 to 12 months from manufacture. This protects the freshness of the freeze dried ingredients and the potency of the omega 3 and vitamins.
- Is it suitable for puppies?
- No. It is for healthy adult dogs only.
- Why is Mishcats stocking dog products?
- Mishcats is Australia’s cat specialist, but customer demand for VNG’s veterinary nutritionist formulated range led us to add CompleteMe® Canine for dog owners who want the same trusted quality.
